1984/85 was a superb season for Everton Football Club and this DVD allows all Everton fans to relive part of that success by bringing you the 1985 European Cup Winners Cup Final v Rapid Vienna and Semi Final v Bayern Munich on this double DVD.
It had been a long, hard season for the Blues. After storming to the League Championship with a record 90 points, 13 clear of second placed Liverpool, and reaching the FA Cup final, European success was now well within their grasp.

The Blues arrived in Rotterdam full of confidence of lifting the Trophy and were tipped as hot favourites to emerge victorious. But it was the Austrians who were making all the pre-match moves: declaring that they would attack Everton from the start. But psychological advantage they hoped to gain proved fruitless, as the Blues inflicted a torrent of assaults on the Vienna goal.
As game progressed, Kendall?s men threw everything they had at the Australians. Gray hit the back of the net on 39 minutes, but Derek Mountfield?s alleged off-side position ensured the goal didn?t stand. Frustration mounted, but it was only a matter of time before the deadlock was broken.
Sharp scored first on 57 minutes and Trevor Steven added a second on 72 minutes. Astonishingly, Rapid managed to claw their way back into the match. But the goal proved irrelevant, as Kevin Sheedy hammered home number three straight from the restart.
Rotterdam was awash in Blue, as Everton celebrated their first success in Europe.
As Kevin Ratcliffe collected his second trophy in as many weeks, Everton's success was compounded by the words of Rapid Vienna veteran Krankl who claimed that the Blues were possibly "the best side in the whole of Europe."

Managers and players will tell you that winning a semi-final of any competition can be more exciting than the Final itself, and that was surely the case when Everton met Bayern Munich in the European Cup Winners Cup at Goodison Park back in April 1985.
Trailing 1-0 at half time (after a 0-0, 1st leg in Munich ), Everton faced their biggest test of a memorable season against one of Germany's best. But with some inspirational words from Manager, Howard Kendall, and a display of dazzling football, they gave all Evertonians a night to remember.
The crowd inside Goodison Park that night was vociferous in the extreme, promoting Howard Kendall to tell his players in the dressing room at half time - just get the ball forward and the Gwladys Street will suck the goals in. And how right he was as the Blues scored three in a special second half performance and Everton marched onto the final in Holland.
