George Best was one of the greatest footballers ever, and was arguably the best footballer ever to play in the English Football League. Dubbed the ‘Fifth Beatle’, George crossed over the line between sportsman and celebrity and became the first ever British sporting superstar.
George Best - A Genius and A Legend DVD is the definitive story of George Best. It follows his life from that shy 15 year old boy who took the daunting journey to Old Trafford right up to the immensely moving scenes at his funeral in December 2005.
This DVD traces the life and footballing career of George Best. It contains plenty of goals and great moments on the football pitch, including those wonderful European performances in 1966 and 1968 against Benfica. The story is told through interviews with George over a period of 25 years, as well as comments from players, celebrities, family and friends. And, interestingly, there are archive snippets of non-footballing moments too.
Much of the story is punctuated by interviews with George himself, as well as comments from many contemporaries, friends and family providing a very personal insight into the genius, that was George Best.
