The official DVD review of Sunderland’s Championship winning 2006/2007 season.

After four straight Championship defeats in a row at the start of the season, Sunderland eventually clinched the league title on the final day of the season with a stunning 5-0 win at Luton Town.

Things were looking bleak at the start of the 2006/2007 season campaign with four straight league defeats, followed by a 2-0 loss to Bury in the Carling Cup. However, Niall Quinn relinquished managerial duties and brought in Roy Keene. It produced an immediate impact and Sunderland won three successive league games.

Early in 2007 Sunderland went on an incredible 16 match unbeaten run to help clinch promotion. And then, on the final day of the season we beat Luton 5-0 and, with Birmingham losing at Preston, the Championship title was ours.
